I disagree.

I get where you’re coming from. It seems cowardly to incite a mob and then hide. But at the same time, keep in mind that like Theo Van Gogh, the guy’s life is in danger because of a stupid film. Why should the guy put himself and his family at risk because one side is clearly over-reacting? I don’t hold the making of the film with the same moral equivalency of killing people and burning down buildings. One side is clearly in the wrong here, and it ain’t the guy who made the film.

And what do you mean by “held responsible”? Get pelted by tomatoes or something? Because the guy should not die for exercising his freedom of speech…that’s exactly what the first amendment is there to prevent. He’s already being scorned by politicians and talk show morons and will have a very hard time showing his face in the future, not just for loss of reputation, but literal fear of criminal and illegal murder.

Yeah, if this guy had shot MLK or something, I’d be right with you–come out, come out, wherever you are. But this (YouTube video) ain’t that (murder/assassination).
